DORIS SCHIRM, Utah
Doris Ruth Schirm, 89, of Murray, Utah, died Oct. 30, 2007.
Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Murray City Cemetery in Murray, Utah.
Doris Schirm was born May 4, 1918, to Charles and Mary (Seiler) Grout of Winterset. Her childhood years were spent in Winterset. Before she married, Doris was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse. On June 1, 1940, she married Dale Schirm and settled in Denver, Colo. In 1962, she and her family moved to Murray, Utah.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcia Ottley; two infant grandsons, Brent Alan Ottley and John Christian Cowan; and two brothers, Claude Grout and Loren Grout.
She is survived by her husband, Dale, of Murray, Utah; one daughter, Melodee Cowan of Murray, Utah; two sisters, Ruby Estell of Denver, Colo., and Marge Mount of Ottumwa; and six grandsons and eight great-grandchildren.
