HULDRA WEAVER, Oskaloosa

Huldra V. “Dude” Weaver, 88, of Oskaloosa died Nov. 25, 2007, at the Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, Nov. 28) at Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Pastor Thomas Palmer officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Divide Cemetery in rural Eddyville.

Huldra Weaver was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Monroe County to Robert G. Esther V. (Ostring) Selby. On July 8, 1939, she was united in marriage to James W. Weaver in Oskaloosa. Together, they lived in Winterset until moving to Oskaloosa in 1981.

She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers — Homer, Lloyd, Bobby and Donald Selby.

She is survived by one son, Larry Weaver of Urbandale; three sisters — Ellen Linderman and Clover Robbins, both of Oskaloosa, and Joyce Quigley of Washington, Iowa; and one grandson and two great-grandsons.

Memorials may be directed to the Pleasant Divide Cemetery Association.
