Funeral services were held last Thursday here for Lucile T. Wright, 81, of Winterset. Mrs. Wright died at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset last Tuesday, February 4, 1975.
Lucile T. Wright was born in Union Township on January 27, 1894, the daughter of Edwin and Mary Alice Brittain Trester. She was married in 1916 to Curtis D. McFadden at Winterset, and was preceded in death by him. She was married to W. Harvey Wright on June 15, 1921 at Winterset, and was preceded in death by him, also.
A lifetime resident of Madison County, Mrs. Wright was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Winterset. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, the Womens' Club, the Past Matrons, and the Gray Ladies.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Wright Hughes of Des Moines, and a son Harrell Wright of Chicago, Ill. Also surviving are four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Aletha Oliver of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Eda Aikin of Marshalltown, and Mrs. Marie Poindexter of Denver, Colo; and three brothers: Alvin H. Trester, Royal T. Trester, and D. Albert Trester, all of California.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and two brothers, and a daughter.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 6 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset, with the Rev. Alan Parker officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
