March 1935OBITUARY
Frederick Benson Snow, son of Ovin P. and Elma Jane Snow, born at Pioneer, Ohio, May 6, 1850, moved to Geneseo, Ill., at the age of twenty-one and married to Anna Mathews. Soon afterwards two children were born of this wedlock, but a boy, Dana Bear, was adopted and raised to manhood. In 1889 Mr. Snow and family moved to Iowa, settling near Earlham, where his first wife died a few years afterwards.
In 1905 Mr. Snow again united in wedlock to his present wife, Nora Johanna Lee of Earlham at which time they located on the farm one mile south of Earlham, where they resided till the present time.
Mr. Snow died Friday evening, March 22, 1935 at the ripe old age of 84 years. He was beloved by all who came in contact with him and his many friends and neighbors unite with his widow in mourning his loss. His remaining relatives are his widow, Nora Snow, his son Dana of Whittier, Calif., and his brother, Isaac of Geneseo, Ill.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two thirty o’clock at the Presbyterian church for Benson Snow who passed away Friday. Rev. Peter Bock had charge of the services, assisted by Rev. Walter Feay. A mixed quartette composed of S. C. Welch, Mrs. Earl Schalkle, Mrs. Peter Bock and Mervyn McLennan sang “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Jesus Lover of My Soul” and “City of Four Square”.
