Charles McKnight of Chicago, formerly a well known resident of Winterset, died at his home at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1947, according to word received here Thursday.
Mr. McKnight was a member of a prominent family of Winterset in the early days. After leaving here he spent many years in the employ of the Rock Island railroad.
He was an honorary member of the Winterset chapter of the Masonic lodge, and had attained a 50-year membership in that organization a few years ago.
Mr. McKnight visited often in Winterset and had a wide circle of acquaintances here.
