Death of Mrs. J. O. BARE

After seven months of acute suffering, borne with great fortitude, Mrs. John O. Bare died on June 7, 1920, at her home on East Court avenue, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 28 days.

Elizabeth McCormick came with her parents from Owen county, Indiana to Warren county, Iowa, in 1870, living near Sandyville until her marriage to J. O. Bare, three years later.

For years the family have lived in Winterset, where Mrs. Bare acquired a large number of warm, devoted friends. She was a loyal church woman and active member of Pitzer Woman's Relief Corps, until her failing health prevented her attendance upon its meetings.

The immedicate relatives who mourn her death are her husband, her only child, Ben F. Bare, five sisters, two brothers and her grandson, Robert O. Bare, who is a student in Annapolis naval academy.

Funeral services from the Bare home were held on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Jackson Giddens.
