Mr. James H. Stokes, nephew of Dr. Cherry, and formerly of this place, was found dead in his bed at Omaha, Neb., last Monday morning. His funeral took place today at 2 o’clock p. m. at the residence of Dr. Cherry.

The deceased was a brilliant young man, the foremost in his profession as a printer, and his sudden death has caused a spirit of gloom to fall over his relatives and the circle of numerous friends and acquaintances, who loved and admired him.
