MRS. FRANK McCLEARY Dies

Mrs. Frank McCleary, Union township resident, died at the Winterset hospital, Wednesday morning, September 11th, 1935 about nine o'clock. Mrs. McCleary, who was about sixty years of age, had been in Des Moines for an operation and treatment. In July and it was thought that she was convalescing satisfactorily. She became worse last week and was brought to the local hospital Tuesday night.

Mrs. McCleary, who was the former Ida Mae Walker, was well known in this county. She leaves her husband, and four children: Mrs. John Severns, Ward McCleary and Mrs. Norwood Brooker of Winterset, and Miss Evalyn in the home. A sister, Mrs. A. P. Wheeler of Union township also survives.

Note:Burial was made in Jefferson-Goar cemetery.

Ida May Walker, youngest daughter of Allan and Rosie Walker, born August 22, 1873, departed this life September 11, 1935, at the age of 62 years and 18 days.

She united with the United Brethren church, of which she has been a member ever since.

She was united in marriage with J. F. McCleary, December 6, 1893. To this union were born four children: Pearl Severns, Ward McCleary, Berline Brooker and Evelyn, at home.

She had been in failing health for a number of weeks and entered the Lutheran hospital, July 7, 1935. After returning from the hospital, she gradually grew worse then entered the Winterset hospital and passed away September 11, 1935 at 9:15 a. m.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, four children, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Mrs. A. P. Wheeler, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Jefferson United Brethren church Friday, September 13th at two o’clock and burial, was made in the church cemetery. Rev. E. A. Elliott a former pastor, conducted the services.
