Boy Dies When Ice Breaks on Lake

Warren R. Aikin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Aikin of Fountain, Colorado, was drowned here Nov. 15 when he fell through the ice on a lake on which he was playing.

Mr. and Mrs. Russel Aikin are former residents of near Macksburg. The little boy’s grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Aikin, now of Marshalltown.

The boy is survived by his parents; a 6-year-old brother, Jeffrey; and a 3-week-old sister, Sheryl.
