She was 66 years of age and had lived in this community for many years. She was a member of the first graduating class of the St. Charles high school in 1895 and then followed the profession of teaching for many years.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in St. Charles Friday afternoon conducted by her pastor Rev. A. E. Nixon. A message came while the services were in progress saying two of her sisters were on the way from Oklahoma so the body was taken back to her home. The sisters arrived Saturday night and burial was Sunday afternoon.
