DEATH OF ROBERT L. EIS

Word has been received here of the death of Robert L. Eis, of Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, July 21st. Mr. Eis made his home for many years in this community, and moved to Los Angeles in 1929.

The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Eis, and was born April 28, 1862, in Port Washington, Ohio. He came to Iowa, with his parents, in early childhood. He was one of a family of fifteen children, six of the brothers and two of the sisters surviving him.

On November 6, 1889, he was married to Edna E. Etigers, and to them were born two children, the first of whom died in infancy. He had been at the Mission Rest home in Los Angeles, receiving treatment, since June 12th.

He leaves his wife, a son, Louie R., and a granddaughter, Darline. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Norman L. Brown, pastor of the Griffith park Christian church, Wednesday, July 25th, at 2:30 o’clock, at Pierce Brothers funeral home, and burial was made in the Forest Lawn memorial park.
