RON PURKAPILE, WINTERSET

Ron E. Purkapile, 49, of Winterset died Oct. 1, 2007, in Missouri from complications of heart disease.

A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday, Oct. 6, at the United Methodist Church in Macksburg.

Ron Purkapile was born Aug. 14, 1958, in Des Moines to Carl and Maxine (Schulz) Purkapile and attended school at Orient-Macksburg High School. Throughout his life, Ron was employed as a welder and car mechanic. He presently was a truck driver for G.S.T.C. Trucking. He was a member of AA for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Ray and Doris Schulz.

He is survived by a sister, Elaine Ringland of West Des Moines.

Memorials may be directed to the family or the Animal Rescue League of Central Iowa.

Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
