Agnes W. McKean, 89, of Van Meter died of a heart ailment April 14, 1999 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 20 at Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter. Burial of the cremains will take place Thursday, April 22 at Rosehill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, with graveside services to be held at 10 a.m.
Agnes McKean was born Jan. 10, 1910 in Union Township, Madison County to Joseph and Minnie Wolf. A resident of Van Meter for the past 18 years, she previously lived in Ferguson. Agnes was a retired office worker for Lennox Industries in Marshalltown and a member of the Van Meter Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester McKean.
She is survived by two sons, Warren Rockhill of Van Meter and David Rockhill of Waukee; one daughter, Karen Holland of Roland; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
