William H. McGee, 92, died of a heart ailment Sun., June 21, 1992 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. No funeral services are planned.
He was born in Paris, Mo., March 18, 1900 to James William and Susan (Hart) McGee and married Esther Graham on December 21, 1922. He had lived in Stuart for 15 years prior to moving to Winterset and prior to that had lived in the Dallas County area. He had been an employee of the former Eclipse Lumber Yard in Adel and was a resident of Bethesda Care Center for the past four years.
He was preceded in death by his wife and three grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn Waters of Indianola and Kathryn Starnes of Des Moines; three sons, Francis Glenn of DeSoto, James Dean of Bucksport, Maine and William Ray of Springfield, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated. Fisher Funeral Home, Adel handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stuart First Responders.
