Clyde E. Nellis Dies in Florida

Word has been received locally of the death of Clyde E. Nellis at his home in Florida.

He will be remembered here as the eldest son of the Ward Nellis’s. Surviving him, besides his family, are two brothers, Ivan and Delbert of Des Moines, and a sister, Helen of Winterset.

He had lived in Florida for the last fifteen years, going there from Flint, Michigan.

Clyed had been in ill health for several years but his death was unexpected.

CLYDE E. NELLIS

Clyde E. Nellis of Bradenton, Florida, died August 22 at Manatee Memorial hospital there. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. Nellis was born in Madison county May 25, 1907, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Nellis. He left here as a young man. Before moving to Bradenton 14 years ago, he worked as a truck driver at Flint, Michigan. He was a veteran of World War II.

Funeral services were held August 24 in Oneco, Florida with burial in Mansata Memorial park.
