MRS. SADIE MOORE

Sarah Alice Distin, daughter of Thomas and Grace Ackland Distin, was born in Madison county, Iowa, May 31, 1873. Her early life was spent on a farm in Penn township. After completing her education she taught school for several years.

In March 1897, she was married to Leonard P. Moore. The most of her married life was spent on farms. However, they resided in Dexter for several years. About 1941 they moved to Earlham where her husband passed away October 29, 1943. Her parents and a baby brother also preceded her in death. She passed away March 30, 1956, a cerebral hemorrhage taking her in a short time.

She leaves to mourn her passing a sister-in-law, Mrs. Fern Hatfield of Los Angeles, California; a niece, Mrs. Elinore McClelland and family of Sherman, Texas, and two nephews, Franz Lenocker and family of Dexter and Bill Moore and family of California and several cousins.

Burial in Dexter Cemetery

Mrs. Sadie A. Moore of Earlham passed away Friday, March 30. Funeral services were held Monday, April 2, at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church of Earlham with burial in the Dexter cemetery.

OBITUARY

About 1941 they moved to Earlham where her husband passed away October 29, 1943. Her parents and baby brother, also, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ferne Hatfield of Los Angeles, Calif., a brother-in-law, J. H. Lenocker of Dexter, a niece, Mrs. Eleanor McCelland and family of Sherman, Texas, two nephews, Frantz Lenocker and family of Dexter and Bill Moore and family of California, and several cousins.

She was a member of the Earlham Methodist church and several clubs. Her friendly sociable nature endeared her to all who knew her.
