SERVICES HELD FOR R. B. PACE

Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset for Robert B. Pace of Peru, whose death had occurred Monday, March 30. The Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare church, conducted the services. Burial was made in the Hooten cemetery.

Mr. Pace's death had occurred at Memorial hospital in Winterset, at the age of 82 years.

He was a life-long resident of Madison county, except for two years in Union county as a young man. He was born at Winterset Feb. 18, 1888, a son of George C. and Trasha Moore Pace. For 53 years he was connected with the Schwaner Harness shop in Winterset, most of that time as harness maker, but in later years as owner of the business.

He was married Dec. 24, 1911, to Zelma L. Peacock. Her death occurred Jan. 7, 1970.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Seldon Welch of Lorimor and Mrs. Fay Waters of Peru; a foster son, Raymond Locke of Warren, Ill.; five grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

R. B. PACE, 82 DIED MONDAY

Robert Burns Pace, age 82, of Peru, died Monday at Madison County Memorial hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Pace were to be held this Wednesday afternoon from Collins Funeral Home. Mr. Pace was a former harness maker in Winterset.
