Wednesday, May 27, 1970MRS. MYRTLE HUSS DIES AT 91 YEARS
Mrs. Myrtle Huss, a life-long resident of the Winterset community, died Monday, May 23, at Horton Nursing home, where she had lived the last three years. She was 91 years of age.
Mrs. Huss was born at Winterset Dec. 29, 1878, a daughter of C. C. and Margaret Benson Miller. As a young woman she was married to John Huss. His death occurred in 1947.
She was a member of the Four Square church.
Surviving are two sons, Emmett and Glen Huss of Des Moines; seven daughters, Mrs. Nola Hildebrand of Winterset, Mrs. Clyde Reed of Des Moines, Mrs. Marjorie Oglesbee of St. Charles, Mrs. Lloyd Kivett of New Market, Tenn., Mrs. Stanley Palmer of San Pedro, Calif., Mrs. Mike Clausen of Omaha, and Mrs. Harold Mapes of Winterset. She also leaves 33 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson-Clark Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Charles Updike, pastor of the Winterset Four-square church. Burial will be made in the North McDonald cemetery.
