MAX MARXEN OF DAVENPORT DIES

Max Marxen of Davenport, a former Madison county resident, died last week at Davenport, at the age of 73 years.

Mr. Marxen was a native of Marne, Iowa. He engaged in farming in Madison county from 1928 until 1940. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doris Marxen of Davenport; a daughter, Mrs. Lavilla Ramsey of Davenport; a son, Lloyd Marxen of Davenport; five grandchildren; four brothers, Theodore and John Marxen of Atlantic and George and Louie Marxen of Winterset; and four sisters, Mrs. John Wilms and Mrs. Edward Hulin of Atlantic and Mrs. George Kirkpatrick of Des Moines, and Mrs. Mary Martino of Winterset.
