E. Franklin Jessup of Winterset died Thursday, Aug. 27, at Memorial hospital here, of injuries received that day in a traffic accident here. He was 74 years of age.
Mr. Jessup was a life-time resident of Madison county, except for 10 years in which he lived in California. During much of his active years he engaged in construction work.
He was born in Madison county Oct. 11, 1895, a son of William O. and Rosa Deming Jessup. He was married March 2, 1916, to Veda D. Dick of Winterset, who survives him.
He was a member of the First Christian church of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the First Christian church in Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
