Wednesday, September 2, 1970HAROLD SHUEY OF WINTERSET DIES
Harold L. Shuey of Winterset died Sunday, Aug. 23, at Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He was 50 years of age.
Mr. Shuey was born in Mingo April 27, 1920, a son of Harvey J. and Vesta Stier Shuey. During World War II he served in the U.S. army. He was a member of the American Legion and the Masonic lodge at Decatur. He was baptized in the Methodist church at Mingo.
At the time of his death he was employed at Armstrong Tire and Rubber company of Des Moines.
Mr. Shuey was married to Dorothy Meyers on Feb. 4, 1935. She survives him. He also leaves four children, Mrs. Delores F. Norman of Decatur, Larry D. Shuey of Colfax, and Glen E. and Mary Jean Shuey, both at home. He also leaves seven grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert and John Shuey of Newton and Jim Shuey of Atikokan, Ontario, Canada.
Funeral services were held Aug. 25 from the Slade Funeral home in Leon. Burial was made in the Decatur cemetery.
