MRS. LYTTON, 47, DIES AT TRURO

Funeral services for Mrs. Dale Lytton, well-known resident of the Truro community were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 17, from the Christian church in Truro.

Mrs. Lytton died Jan. 15 at the Clarke county hospital in Osceola. She was 47 years of age.

Gertrude Leone, a daughter of Melvin and Iva Thomas Johnson, was born near Norwalk on Aug. 1, 1923. She was educated in the Spring Hill school at Indianola. She came to Truro in the fall of 1942 and taught in the elementary grades until 1948.

She was united in marriage to Dale Lytton of Truro on Dec. 21, 1946 at the Linn Grove church near Norwalk. She was active in community affairs and a member of the Christian church and Jolly Fu Club.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Gary, who is serving in the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.. Robert who is attending college at Centerville and Dennis and Crystal at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Johnson of near Norwalk; three brothers, Byron Johnson of Indianola, Harold Johnson of Derby, Iowa and Doyle Johnson of near Norwalk.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh and Ralph, who died in 1933.

Officiating at the service Sunday afternoon was the Rev. Richard Hempenius of Truro and the Rev. James Nicholson of Norwalk. Burial was at Ebenezer cemetery west of Truro.
