DEATH OF A FORMER CITIZEN

A letter from Mrs. A. J. Tryon, dated Denver, August 18, says: Mrs. Mary A. Clark, formerly Mrs. D. R. Gaff, of Winterset, was buried to-day.

She was drowned last Saturday, the home in which she lived being washed away by a flood following a water-spout. She was alone at the time. Her body was carried three miles, and when found on Monday, was entirely covered with sand. The body was considerably bruised.

She leaves two sons.
