MRS. LULU KALE OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Mrs. Lulu M. Kale of St. Charles, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Monday, Nov. 2, at a nursing home in Corydon. She was 87 years of age.

Mrs. Kale was born at St. Charles Jan. 11, 1883, a daughter of Richard and Martha Mercer. She was married at St. Charles on March 29, 1904, to Wilbert M. Kale. They lived on a farm near Hanley until his death, after which she moved to St. Charles.

She was a member of the St. Charles Methodist church, and of the Woman's society for Christian Service.

She was preceded in death by a son, Harold, a daughter, Fern, and an adopted son, Robert.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Audrey Johnson of Allerton; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the St. Charles United Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. William Andre. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
