GONE HOME

Mrs. Ann Leach, wife of Josiah L. Leach, of this city, departed this life last Monday morning. She had been a sufferer for a long time, but old age was, perhaps, more the cause of death than any particular disease.

The deceased was born in Virginia in 1809, and was 71 years of age. Mr. and Mrs. Leach were married in 1830. They moved first to Ohio and then to Winterset in 1868. Mrs. Leach has been a member of the United Presbyterian church since 1831 and died in the full hope of a happy immortality.

She was buried Wednesday. Mrs. Leach was an estimatle lady and very highly regarded by all who knew her.

Note: Typed as written in Madisonian. Cemetery records indicated the spelling is Leech. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
