MRS. MARION BROOKER DIES AT 58 YEARS

Jefferson Township Woman Died Last Friday in Des Moines

Mrs. Marion Brooker, a life-long resident of Jefferson township, died last Friday Feb. 28 at a Des Moines hospital, which she had entered Nov. 14 to undergo surgery for a malignancy. She was 58 years of age.

Mrs. Brooker was the former Marguerite Wehrkamp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wehrkamp. She had lived all her life in this county and was born July 13, 1899 in the house where she and her husband had made their home for many years.

She was married March 15, 1923 to Marion Brooker, who survives her. She also leaves a son, Ken Brooker of Van Meter and a daughter Mrs. Celesta Peterson of Des Moines.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Jefferson township.

Funeral services were held Monday from Trinity Lutheran church conducted by the Rev. Mr. Weber of Dexter. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
