INEZ HARRELL, AFTON

Inez Harrell, 88, of Afton died Aug. 8, 2007, at her home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 11, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Mary O’Riley officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Inez Harrell was born June 15, 1919, in Winterset to Albert and Mae (Preston) Libby. Her marriage to Delbert Dale Harrell took place Feb. 22, 1938 in Winterset. Throughout her life, Inez, a farmwife and homemaker, resided in the Afton and Winterset areas.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Jack Harrell; two brothers, Francis Libby and Harold Libby; two sisters, Marty Rynearson and Ella Louise Harrell; and a grandson, Jim Harrell.

She is survived by two sons, Dale Harrell of Runnells and Albert Harrell of Burleson, Texas; two daughters, Ruby Jacobs and Donna Cheers, both of Afton; two sisters, Ruth Bush and Betty Stephenson, both of Winterset; and 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions given to the family will be directed to the Greater Regional Hospice or Afton Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
