DEATH OF JOHN RANKIN

John Rankin, life long resident of Madison county, died at the Winterset hospital Tuesday morning May 2, at 5:30 o'clock. He had been seriously ill with heart trouble and receiving treatment there since Monday, April 24th.

Mr. Rankin who was 67 years of age was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rankin. He has been making his home with a sister, Mrs. Anna Rankin on their farm between Lorimor and Murray.

Funeral services are to be held at Lorimor this afternoon at two o'clock.
