Funeral services were held Friday from the Collins funeral home in Winterset for George A. Koehler of Winterset, whose death occurred Tuesday, Jan. 6, at his home in Scott township.
The Rev. James N. Louk conducted the services. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mr. Koehler was a member of a well-known Madison county family, and a life-time resident. He was born here Dec. 26, 1898, and was 71 years of age at his death. He was a son of Selwyn and Minnie Mills Koehler.
During his active life he engaged in farming, and also did rock quarry work.
He was married Aug. 22, 1918, at Indianola, to Lois Clark, who survives him. He also leaves three children, Charles Koehler of Hood River, Ore., Mrs. Kenneth Holliday of Nampa, Ida., and Richard Koehler of Winterset. One son, Albert, preceded him in death.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren; two great grandsons; and a brother, Francis Koehler of Winterset.
