DIED

De Peu - August 19th, 1877, at the residence of Mr. M. Stone in Winterset, Miss Georgiana De Peu, aged 18 years and 6 months.

Her disease was typhoid fever. It was of a malignant type from the first, so that she was conscious but a very short time after she was taken sick. She was suddenly stricken down and no medical treatment seemed to be of any avail. This is a clear and explicit call to us all. "Be ye also ready." J.H.P.
