Death of Wm. P. Rollstin

After twenty years of mission life, mostly spent in Japan, William P. Rollstin died in the Sano hospital in Kobe, Japan on July 25th, of meningitis, complicated with tuberculosis. His health had been poor last winter, but as spring came on, he grew somewhat better, and concluded to go to Honolulu and went to Kobe to take the boat.

The latter was not ready to start, so he visited at the home of Robert Atchison at Arima. He failed so rapidly that he was taken to the hospital.

Mr. Rollstin was the second son of the late A. J. and Mrs. Mary Rollstin. Born in Madison County, fifty two years ago, he taught school here, in Nebraska and in Salt Lake City. Four years ago, he visited his mother and other relatives for a six month’s furlough.
His missionary friends write in appreciative terms of his self sacrifice and devotion to his chosen life work. His burial occurred July 2_ in a cemetery in Kobe.
