A Broken Home

The little son of Joseph Harper, living 10 miles southeast of town in Walnut township, died last Friday and was buried Saturday. He had been suffering for some time with a kind of rheumatism, and having too delicate a constitution to withstand the disease, was at last conquered by the grim monster death. He was a bright little boy of three and one-half years, and the center of a father’s hope and affection.

It was but three months ago that Mr. Harper followed the remains of his wife to their last resting place and now his only child lies by her side. It is a sad hour for Mr. Harper and casts a deep shadow over his future prosperity and happiness, but the REPORTER sincerely hopes that his sorrow may be as a passing cloud and that he may yet receive a full measure of life’s sunshine and joys.
