Charles Michael Auten, 40, of Glenwood, died of respiratory failure Feb. 18, 1998 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha, Neb. Funeral services are Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial will follow at the Winterset Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services tomorrow.
He was born in Maryville, Mo., on Oct. 27, 1957 to Orval L. and Katie (Gaa) Auten.
Surviving relatives include his parents of Dexter; three brothers, Orval Auten Jr. and wife Gayanne of Kent, Harold Auten and wife Shelli of Villisca, Roger Auten and wife Janet of Creston; four sisters, Julia Foley and husband Roy of Winterset, Tina Long and husband Dan of Greenfield, Lisa Clark of Winterset, Donna Wilcox and husband Mike of Earlham; ten nieces and 13 nephews.
