KATHARINE RAUSENBERGER

Katharine Lucinda Schlarb, daughter of Nicholas and Eliza Schlarb was born March 23, 1874 and departed this life Monday April 26, 1954 at the age of 80 years, after an illness of several months in the Ackley Presbyterian Home where she had been making her home.

She was married to Harry Rausenberger, October 9, 1901. To this union was born one son, Frantz. She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in March 1945, also two sisters, Mrs. Charles Henry and Mrs. Frank Fritz and two brothers, Henry and Peter Schlarb.

She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Frantz, two grandsons, Richard and Robert Rausenberger. Besides the immediate family she leaves a niece, Mrs. Ed Anderson and five nephews, Harland Henry, Clarence, Philip, Frank and Junior Schlarb and a host of friends.

Mrs. Rausenberger was a friend to all who knew her and to know her was to love her. She loved her home and took great delight in making it a place where all were welcome.

The services were held in the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Alexander and Overholser. Burial in the Earlham cemetery.
