Harry Wilson Dunmire, son of Isaac and Sarah Dunmire was born near Killduff, Iowa, June 23, 1882 and died at his home near Earlham May 25, 1973 at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 2 days. The third of five children, he was preceded in death by James, Lizzie, Vida and Naomi.

He was baptized at the age of eleven into the Baptist church at Killduff, Iowa. Later transferring to the Methodist church at Penn Center and then to the Dexter United Methodist church.

In 1896 he moved with his parents to a farm south of Dexter. He farmed and wrote insurance in the Dexter area until he semi-retired from the insurance business and moved to his present home in the Bear Creek neighborhood in 1948, where he continued farming and writing hail insurance until 1971.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mae B. Penn and their adopted child, Harold.

On May 12, 1936, he was united in marriage to Helen Wigton.

He is surved by his wife, three children, Ronald of Cedar Rapids, Barbara Crouse of Las Vegas and Veda Mills of Earlham, 14 grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
