SERVICES HERE FOR MRS. COOPER

Former Winterset Resident Died Last Saturday in Wyoming

Mrs. Robert Cooper, a well-known Winterset resident during most of her life, died Saturday Feb. 13, at Evanston, Wyo. She was 78 years of age.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Winterset and spent her life here, until 1938 when she moved to Wyoming. She was the former Eva Gilpin, daughter of Major and Mrs. T. C. Gilpin and was born Dec. 18, 1875.

In 1907 she was married to Dr. Robert Cooper, Winterset dentist. His death occurred in 1933.

As a young woman she studied music in Chicago and New York and during her residence in Winterset she taught both voice and piano to music students of this community.

She was active in the First Presbyterian church here, serving as organist and teaching Sunday school classes. She was affiliated with P.E.O. also.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Sanford M. Shively of Casper, Wyo.; two grandsons, Robert and Mark Shively of Casper; and a sister, Mrs. Grace Bean also of Casper.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Anderson home for funerals conducted by the Rev. George DeF. Fisher, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
