Word has been received here of the death of Miss Flora Yeoman, former Winterset resident at her home in Orange, California on Thursday, June 21st. Miss Yeoman who was 78 years of age had been ill for two weeks. She moved to Orange from Winterset, thirty three years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and of Orange’s pioneer social organization, the Christmas club. A. E. and Helen Potter Yeoman were her parents and they and a brother have preceded her in death.
She leaves several cousins: N. U. Potter of Orange, Mrs. L. G. Fogler, Mrs. Mae Mahan and Will Farrell of Winterset.
In the C. W. Coffey chapel Saturday morning at 10:30 o’clock, a large number of friends gathered to pay final tribute to Miss Yeoman. Dr. Robert Burns McAulay, minister of the Presbyterian church, conducted the simple rites during which Mrs. Agnes Pister sang two vocal selections, “Beautiful Isle” and “Face to Face.” Burial was in the Fairhaven cemetery in Orange.
