The body of Clarence H. Meader was buried in the cemetery at Peru Friday, following his death Nov. 10 at Montevideo, Minn.
Mr. Meader was a former resident of the Peru community. A native of Illinois, he came to Iowa in 1873 and settled on a farm near Peru. He was married there in 1891 to Mary Powell. They were parents of seven children.
He was 85 years of age at his death. Surviving are five children, Bill Meader of Haddonfield, N.J., Archie and Sylvia of Billings, Mont. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
The burial at Peru was made with grave-side services conducted by the Rev. Ray Harness of the Peru church.
