Death, the Wish of Some, the Relief of Many and the End of all has Visited Many Homes in this Community.

Emmarine Debord

Died at the home of her nephew, Walter Debord, in the east part of Winterset on Friday, March 8th at the age of 58 years. The deceased was the daughter of the late M. C. Debord, one of the first settlers of Madison county and had spent her entire life in this county.

Funeral services were held on Monday and the remains consigned to their last resting place in Union Chapel cemetery near the old homestead in South township.

Patterson

Miss Emma Debord, of Patterson, who was staying at Walter Debord's in Winterset died Friday night at 11 o'clock, age fifty-eight years and sixteen days. She was well known in this community and will be missed by all.

She was a member of the New Lights church before she came here. Then she united with the M. E. church at this place. Funeral services were held at Union Chapel Monday and were conducted by Rev. Bennett, of Winterset, and interment was made at the Union Chapel cemetery.
