OBITUARY

Mary E. James was born in Pennsylvania August 18, 1848. She moved to Missouri when about eighteen years old, and nine years later returned again to Pennsylvania, and two years later in the year 1859, she came to Iowa, where she resided until her death which occurred March 27, 1907, aged 58 years, 7 months and 10 days.

She was united in marriage to Benjamin James March 18, 1880. To them was born one son, and one daughter, both of whom are living.

She became a Christian in early life, and remained faithful to the end.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. E. Bennett from the home and interment made in the Baptist cemetery north of Winterset.
