December 10, 1952VETERAN OF FIRST WORLD WAR DIES
Harvey Kemplin, a former Madison county resident, and a veteran of the first World War, died Nov. 21 in the Veteran's hospital at Wood, Wisc., according to word received here from his brother, Riley W. Kemplin of Chariton.
Mr. Kemplin was 60 years of age. He had been an invalid for two years, as result of a heart condition. He spent a year in the Veteran's hospital in Des Moines before transferring to the Wisconsin hospital.
He was a member of the Disabled Veterans post at Des Moines and Veterans of Foreign Wars at Boone.
