GUY HARRISON WAS LONG-TIME RESIDENT

John Guy Harrison of Macksburg whose death occurred Wednesday, April 30 at the Memorial hospital in Winterset, at the age of 75 years, was a life-long resident of Madison and Union counties.

A son of Ira D. and Ella Davis Harrison, he was born in Madison county, Nov. 17, 1876. With the exception of 10 years in Union county, his life was spent in Madison county. He was a member of the West Branch Methodist church with which he had affiliated as a boy.

He was married Oct. 26, 1898 to Nellie Coomans, who survives him. He also leaves 10 children; Mrs. Essie Jorgenson of Winterset, Mrs. Georgia Crow of Macksburg, Mrs. Bernice Williams of Creston, Paul Harrison of Hornick, Clair Harrison of Macksburg, Mrs. Dorothy Klingaman of Waukee, Mrs. Ethel Gosse of Waterloo, Harold Harrison of Rockwell City and Rex and LeRoy Harrison of Macksburg, in addition to 30 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. Harrison was a long-time member of the I.O.O.F. lodge at Macksburg.
