BOONEVILLE SERVICE FOR J. A. DAVIS, 77

BOONEVILLE-Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 16 at the Methodist church in Booneville for J. A. Davis, who died Oct. 13 at the age of 77.

The son of John and Jane Davis, he was born in Rapid City, Ill., on Aug. 26, 1875. He came to Dallas county, when four years of age, and remained a resident of the Booneville community until his death.

He married Mable Rathbun of Port Byron, Ill. in 1910. They were the parents of four sons and three daughters-Rex, Clair, Mrs. Grace Prossett and Wanetta Davis, all of Kansas City, Mo.; Ruby and Max at home. One son, Robert, died several years ago at the age of four.

Officiating at the services last Friday were the Rev. Willard Peterson and the Rev. Don Bissinger. Burial was made in the Booneville cemetery.
