FUNERAL SUNDAY FOR JAMES RAY ANDERSON

Funeral services were held Sunday from St. Paul's Lutheran church in Winterset for James R. Anderson, whose death occurred Thursday, Jan. 22, at the age of 55 years. He has been ill for six years.

Mr. Anderson was a son of J. M. and Edith Sturdevant Anderson. He was born near Guthrie Center, Nov. 21, 1897 but spent the early years of his life in Madison county. After spending several years in Montana, he returned to Madison county to spend the remainder of his life.

He was married to Marie Foreman, June 18, 1924. They were parents of three children, one son and one daughter dying in infancy.

He had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church since Oct. 9. 1952.

Surviving are his wife; the son, Robert Anderson; and a grandson.

Burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery.
