JACOB T. BANKER DIED ON MONDAY

Funeral Rites for Retired Farmer Held Here on Wednesday

Jacob T. Banker, a resident of Madison and Adair counties for 73 years died Monday, Sept. 29, at Clarinda. He was 84 years of age.

A native of Warren county, Ohio, where he was born March 12, 1863, he had come to Iowa at an early age. His active years were spent in farming.

He was married here on Dec. 1, 1887 to Etta Mary Snyder. She preceded him in death many years ago.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian church at Pitzer.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Orpha Wight and Mrs. Miriam Fife, both of Winterset; two sons, Orie E. Banker of Waterloo and Ross M. Banker of Rockford, Ill. He also leaves three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Claire Hawthorne. Burial was made in the Penn Center cemetery.
