LAST RITES HELD FOR GEORGE NICOSON

Funeral services for George F. Nicoson, a long-time resident of the Hanley community in Madison county were held Sept. 13, at the Methodist church in St. Charles.

Mr. Nicoson died Sept. 11 after an extended illness of seven months. He was 81 years of age.

The son of Sarah Buck and Samuel Nicoson, he was born at Terre Haute, Ind., on March 2, 1872. He came to the Hanley community when he was six years old.

He was a long-time member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, five children, Keith Nicoson of Camdenton, Mo., Clarence Nicoson of Lake Worth, Fla., Frank Nicoson of Hoffman, Ill., Mrs. Faye Baugh of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Fern Kreft of Des Moines; five grandchildren, two sisters and a brother.

Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
