ERNEST Q. MOSBY DIES NEAR AFTON

Former Madison County Resident Was 56 Years of Age

Ernest Q. Mosby, formerly a well known Madison county farmer, died Wednesday, May 4, at his home south of Afton. He was 56 years of age and had been in failing health for five years.

Mr. Mosby was born in Adair county, a son of Osman and Bertha Mosby. He came to Madison county as a child, and his life was spent in this community until 1946, when he moved to Union county.

He was married in Winterset in 1932 to Myrtle Pinckney Cole, who survives him.

His church membership was in the Methodist church. He later transferred to the Zion Congregational church.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Andrew and Robert Mosby and a daughter, Virginia Mosby, all at home; a step-daughter, Darlene Freeman of Lenox; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday May 7 from the Macksburg Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Mr. Wilkins. Burial was made in Moon cemetery here.
