Funeral Services Are Set for Thursday From Richards
William Fletcher McDonald, life long resident of Madison county, died at the Memorial hospital in Winterset Monday, Aug. 3. He was 78 years of age.
Mr. McDonald was born in Madison county Nov. 23, 1874. His active life was spent in farming in Jefferson township, but had been retired in recent years.
He was married Jan. 26. 1898, to Carrie Violet, who survives him. He also leaves the following children: Clarence McDonald of Winterset, Mrs. Gladys Nelson of Benson, Minn., Mrs. Blanche Hart of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Pearl Veed of Milwaukee, Wisc., Mrs. Alberta Binns of Earlham, and Mrs. Edna Creger of Des Moines. There are 16 grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Belle Tyer and Mrs. Elsie Alexander of Winterset and Mrs. Margaret Reed of Summerfield, Kan., and two brothers, Harry of near Earlham and Joe of Artesia, Colorado, also surviving.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday from the Richards Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. H. D. Rosenberger of Winterset. Burial will be made in the northeast McDonald cemetery.
