MRS. NELLIE MCCLURE BURIED WEDNESDAY

ST. CHARLES- Mrs. Nellie McClure, a resident of this community for the last 13 years, died Monday, May 25, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Horace McCrea. She was 81 years of age. Her death followed a brief illness and was caused by a heart attack.

Mrs. McClure was the former Nellie Jones, daughter of W. F. and Emily Jones. She was born August 18, 1871, near Knoxville. On Feb. 11, 1891, she was married to Edward E. McClure. After their marriage they lived in Mills and Pottawattamie counties, moving to Warren county in 1902. The death of her husband occurred in 1940, after which she moved to St. Charles.

Surviving are five children, Frank McClure of New Virginia, Loren and Harlen McClure and Mrs. Gladys McCrae of St. Charles, and Mrs. Mable Minard of Truro. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 27 from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
