MRS. A. D. GUIBERSON DIED LAST FRIDAY

Was Long-Time Resident of Jefferson Township; Aged 84 Years

Mrs. Martha Jane Guiberson, a well known resident of Jefferson township for many years, died at Des Moines Friday, Nov. 13, after an extended period of failing health. She was 84 years of age.

She was the widow of the late A. D. Guiberson, prominent farmer and secretary of the Madison county Farm Mutual Insurance association for many years.

Mrs. Guiberson was born in Madison county, Feb. 22, 1869. She was the former Martha Jane Brittain, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Brittain. She was married to A. D. Guiberson at Kent, Wash., on May 19, 1892. Most of their married life was spent on a farm in Jefferson township.

Mr. Guiberson died in 1941. Because of failing health, Mrs. Guiberson had spent the last 18 months in Des Moines with her daughter, Mrs. Lucille Tolles.

She is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Tolles of Des Moines; two granddaughters of Des Moines; and two brothers, Robert and David Brittain of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the McDonald cemetery.
